Faithful Protest Anti-Christian Activities by Communal Extremist Organizations

Mapranam: In protest against the arrest of two nuns in Chhattisgarh and other anti-Christian activities by communal extremist organizations, faithful from the Mapranam Pilgrim Church organized a silent protest rally with their mouths covered.

The protest rally, led by the Central Committee, was inaugurated and addressed by Fr. Jolly Vadakkan. The rally commenced on Saturday, August 2nd, at 5:30 PM from near St. John’s Chapel and witnessed a large participation from the parish community.

The protest march, which began at the chapel, passed through Mapranam Centre and concluded at Mapranam Church.

Fr. Jose Maliyekkal delivered the concluding message.

Vicar Fr. Johny Menacherry, Assistant Vicar Fr. Dixon Kanjookkaran, Central Committee President Thomas Koppulli, Trustees John Pallithara, Antony Kallaparambil, Biju Thekkethala, Poly Pallayi, consecrated persons, family unit office bearers, organizational office bearers, and laypersons participated in the event.
